Can I Make Money Selling Wreaths

Did you know that you can make money online selling wreaths?

There are crafters making a side income and even a full-time income by selling their wreaths on marketplaces like Etsy, or their own website or Shopify store.

If you love making wreaths but are tired of trying to sell them at craft shows, I'm sharing how to sell your beautiful wreaths online and make an income.

Before reading this post, you shouldc know how to price to wreaths, as I won't be going overpricing in this article.

If you aren't sure how to go about pricing your wreaths, check out the article How to Price Your Wreaths to Sell by Grace Monroe Home.

Important Note! I won't be covering the legalities of starting your business; however, you'll definitely want to make sure you have a Terms and Conditions for your business. I highly recommend The Contract Shop for attorney-approved Terms and Conditions. This is one of the BEST ways to protect your business!

Purchase Supplies from a Wholesaler

Wholesalers are manufacturers who sell their manufactured products in bulk or retailers who purchase the product in bulk to sell in bulk to various retailers and customers (like yourself) at a fraction of the retail price.

If you were to buy your supplies from a craft store, it would be nearly impossible to earn a profit from your wreaths. To make the most profit from your wreaths, you should definitely purchase your supplies from a wholesaler.

Because you'll need to purchase your supplies in bulk, you will receive a substantial discount on the price of the products.

You can buy nearly any item that you can think of in bulk. That includes your shipping boxes, ornaments, pinecones, ribbon and more.

Some wreath sellers will purchase premade wreaths from wholesalers instead of making them themselves. That's another option to consider.

Check out AliExpress for wholesale supplies in every major category.

Open an Etsy Shop

Etsy is a handmade marketplace that's perfect for selling your wreaths.

I like Etsy because it already has a built-in audience, making it easier to promote and sell your products. It also makes it easier for people to find you via the Etsy search engine.

If you click here you can see all of the beautiful wreaths people are selling on Etsy.

When looking for wreaths to buy, Etsy is one of the first places that people look too. This is because Etsy is known for selling unique and high-quality handmade items.

To make sure your wreaths are found in the Etsy search engines, and that people want to buy once they find you, read my article What I've Learned After 1,000 Sales on Etsy.

In this post, I share some of my best tips for getting found and making money on Etsy.

Start a Blog

As a crafter, starting your blog can be an excellent way to promote your products.

You can write blog posts sharing your latest products, wreath roundups, behind the scenes sneak peeks, and more.

Your blog can also be a great way to get to know your customers and potential customers, as well as a way for them to get to know you.

When you have a closer relationship with your customer base, you'll gain a better knowledge of how best to serve them. I'm ready to start a blog (click here).

Offer a Course

If you're a talented wreath maker, there is money to be made in teaching others your knowledge. Because the wreath making field is a small niche, you have a better chance of building a solid customer base.

Popular platforms for selling your wreath course are Teachable and Skillshare.

Both platforms are user-friendly and come highly recommended by entrepreneurs.

I use Teachable to sell my online blogging course, and I love it. If you are selling a crafting course, I would go with Skillshare.

Skillshare is a course marketplace that's perfect for creatives. They have creative courses on succulents, watercolor, photography, and much more.

Plus, because it's a marketplace; there's a better chance that people will find your course in the Skillshare search engine.

Teachable does not currently have a course search engine.

Open a Shopify Store

Along with having an Etsy shop, I highly recommend opening a Shopify store.

Shopify is a popular online e-commerce platform. I like Shopify because it gives you another medium for selling your wreaths, therefore increasing your income.

Shopify shops are great for crafters because they're easy to use, are fully customizable, offer 24 hours support, include your store analytics, and offer a full blogging platform.

You can learn more about Shopify in my review of 5 Reasons Why You Should Open a Shopify Store.

Promote on Pinterest

Pinterest is a popular visual search engine.

The goal of using Pinterest is for your content to show up in the search engine when people do searches for wreaths.

If you have a Pinterest account, you can use Pinterest to promote your wreaths.

This is done by creating Pinterest friendly images and uploading them to the platform.

Here is an example of Pinterest friendly images:

free pinterest templates

When creating images for Pinterest, the image should include a title and a URL to your blog or shop.

Additionally, the image should be vertical instead of horizontal. Go for an image size of 735x1400px.

Pinterest also offers promoted pins as a way to get your images in front of more people.

It does cost money to utilize promoted pins; however, paying could be worth your while.

To get started, however, I recommend using the platform for free. Once you get the hang of things, you can consider testing out promoted pins.

Facebook Advertising

Facebook ads can be an excellent way to promote your wreaths, website, courses and more.

If you don't have experience with Facebook ads, I strongly recommend doing your research.

If you don't know what you're doing, you definitely risk throwing money out the window.

When Facebook ads are done right, they can definitely benefit your wreath business.

I hope this post has given you a few things to consider when it comes to making money online selling your wreaths.
